About Me

Hello... I am Shagufta Ellam. I have been blessed with teaching in Round Rock ISD  since 2000; four of those years were at CeVMS and my start was in AISD.  I am a graduate of the University of Texas with a Liberal Arts Degree and a Social Studies Composite Education Certification.

I have taught World Cultures Pre AP World Geography, and World History and currently teaching World History and  AP World History. Also, I am a teacher consultant with National Geographic and Texas Alliance for Geographic Education.  I became a Brown University Choices Program Teaching Fellow in 2012. In 2011, I was part of a U.S. delegation of Geographers to Korea to facilitate the conference on Geographic Education and complete a field study. I was a  Fulbright Project Abroad recipient in 2010 to Ecuador.  In 2009, I was featured as the premier teacher for Teaching with the Stars geography teaching resource. I enjoy travelling and I have had an opportunity to visit many parts of the world, soccer, cooking,  gardening, biking, reading, movies especially historical themes, live music and much more.  I hope you will share in my curiosity about the world as we study.
