I have been teaching engineering classes at McNeil High School since 2002, and was one of the first high school engineering teachers in Central Texas. I have a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from the University of California, Davis, and 13 years of experience in the fields of manufacturing engineering and engineering management. Before I became a teacher I worked for IBM, Multek, and Sanmina-SCI. I am married and have 2 daughters, and they both graduated from McNeil and then from Texas A&M. My husband is a P.E. (licensed Professional Engineer) at a local environmental engineering company. I am proud to have been named McNeil High School Teacher of the Year in 2007 and 2011, and to have received the H-E-B Excellence in Education award in 2013. I love teaching engineering classes, because these courses are exactly what I would have loved to take in high school! I really enjoyed my time working in the world of manufacturing as an engineer, and I love teaching students about the cool stuff engineers get to do!
