I started the Morgan Theatre Program  nine years ago . Through the course of those nine years, students from grades one through four (and five when Morgan went that far) have been involved in such shows as Alice in Wonderland, Wizard of Oz, Peter Pan and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.

The program has seen casts ranging from 30-60 students. I am excited by the continued popularity of the program and hope to continue to see students come out to audition.

The theatre shows give students a chance to express themselves in a way they cannot during the school day. It also builds confidence, develops memory and fluency skills in reading and it is lots of fun.

Mrs. Len Martin

Although I am currently directing shows with Debbie Volker, I am thankful to those teachers who have helped in the past: Mrs. Stacey Morehead, Mrs. Dana Baker and Ms. Kelly Dorsey.

The After School Enrichment program was started before I ever arrived at Morgan but I have been happy to be heading it up for the past several years. The program gives students an opportunity to get involved outside the school day and pursue an interest.

Teachers at Morgan lead an hour long class after school for a few weeks. Classes in the past have included Chess, Clay Wind Chimes, Set Design, Parachute, Origami, Spanish, Sign Language, Cupcake Design and Science Extravaganza.

Each year the number and type of classes vary depending on teacher availability.

Classes are $15 and are typically offered in the fall and in the spring. Look for a pamphlet coming home sometime in the first quarter of school.  Or click on the link to download it when it becomes available.
