FIRST stands for For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology. FIRST robotics programs for students ages six to eighteen inspire young people to become leaders in science and technology. FIRST LEGO League introduces students in grades four through eight to real-world engineering challenges by building LEGO EV3 Mindstorm robots to complete tasks on a thematic playing field. Teams, guided by their imaginations and adult coaches, discover exciting career possibilities and, through the process, learn to make positive contributions to society.

Our school-sponsored organization is supported by Ross Local Schools, volunteer coaches and mentors, and several businesses and civic organizations in our local community.  Ross High School FIRST Robotics Team 3201, Ross Middle School's five FLL teams, and Elda & Morgan Elementaries Jr. FLL teams are collectively know as Ross Rambotics.

"To transform our culture by creating a world where science and technology are celebrated and where young people dream of becoming science and technology leaders."
