Welcome visitors, parents, and Fremont Generals:
Please feel free to explore this site for the latest information pertaining to our classroom. You will find the WEEKLY PLANNER (Assignments & Homework), access to educational WEB LINKS, and many RESOURCES to help complete homework and keep parents informed of current events.
The WEEKLY PLANNER is updated with work and announcements at least once a week. If an assignment is able to be uploaded, you'll find it at the bottom of the planner page. WEB LINKS are available to assist with homework, for extra practice, and exploration. ParentVue and StudentVue for Synergy may be available for online progress reports. Please contact the school main office for access. Weekly progress reports will be sent home with students on the last day of the week.
This year in Social Studies, we will use the Geography Alive! curriculum to learn more about our world and its physical features. Students will be involved in a variety of learning activities to explore key concepts of geography and the school district's adopted learning standards (State of Oregon Social Studies Standards & Common Core Standards for Literacy in History and Social Studies).
In Language Arts, we will use the Literature text by McDougal and Littell and the school district's adopted learning standards (Common Core Standards for English Language Arts) to enrich our language and reading experiences. In addition, for pleasure students will read chapter books of their choosing. For writing, students we will use resources from Step Up to Writing, Nancie Atwell's Lesson's That Change Writers and Naming the World: A Year of Poems and Lessons.
