Google Tips for Monday’s Go Live

Logging in to Google Apps on Monday, June 11th

In any web browser, go to: http://www.google.com/a/rosalindfranklin.edu.

Enter your HelixNet user name and password.

The first time you log in, you'll be asked to take a moment to set up your account.

Browser Information

Google recommends the latest version of Google Chrome. They also support the latest versions of Firefox, Internet Explorer, and Safari. If you would like to have Chrome installed on your computer, please contact the Help Desk.

Signing into additional Accounts

With multiple sign-in, you’re able to access different Google products with up to 10 accounts using tabs in the same browser. Multiple sign-in is automatically enabled for all Google Accounts.

 1.    Sign in to a product that supports multiple sign-in, using an account that has multiple sign-in enabled.

       2.    Click your name or email address at the top of the page.

       3.    Select Add account from the drop-down menu.

4.    On the page that opens, enter the email address and password for another account you wish to access, and click Sign in.

Once you’re signed in to more than one account in the same browser, you can easily switch accounts in the same tab. Just click your name or email address at the top and click on the email address you’d like to sign in to.

The mobile versions of Gmail and GCal do not support the use of multiple accounts in the same web browser. Instead, they default to the first account that you signed in to from your current browser.

Option for accessing additional accounts from a mobile device include:

·      Sign out of your Google Account and then sign in to the account you want to access.

·      Open a different web browser and sign in to another account from there.

Email and Calendar Delegation

Sharing previously set up in Outlook and/or Entourage will not migrate to your new Google Account. Two short videos are provided below to walk you through setting this up when we go live on Monday.
