Meet Orange County Personal Trainer Rod Steel 

Throughout his entire life Rod Steel has been involved in activities and endeavors requiring a high level of physical fitness. He is one of the youngest Boy Scouts to attain the rank of Eagle Scout having done so at the age of 14. After High School, Rod enlisted in the U. S. Army where he was a member of the 1st Airborne Ranger Brigrade. While a Ranger, Rod was a senior member of the Hand to Hand Combat Demolition Team, his Battalion's Top Sniper and Cardiovascular Expert, and Combat Arms World Record Holder.

After serving in the military, Rod earned his degree from the University of Georgia. While enrolled at the University of Georgia he was also a competitive body builder culminating his competitive body building years by winning the title of Mr. Atlanta. And throughout both his Army and college days, Rod was a Senior Ocean Lifeguard for nine summers at the Jersey Shore where he rescued over 200 people.

As a professional fitness trainer, Rod Steel has presented in front of the American Academy of Orthopedic and Neurosurgeons. Rod is also the only personal trainer to be part of a Continuing Medical Education (CME) Group where he offered American Medical Association accredited CME courses to physicians. Rod now bring his considerable fitness training skills to Orange County where he can help you get the results you desire.

Rod's Personal Training Philosophy

Rod developed his initial training philosophy while training celebrities in Los Angeles in the late 1980s. With the breakthrough success of the SuperSlowR  exercise protocol, Rod quickly adopted it into his client's personal training programs with great success. Studies had shown its muscle loading, speed of motion and range of motion techniques produced better results both in fat loss and muscle growth versus other training methods. As a personal training professional, Rod saw these results in his clients and he now uses SuperSlowR methods to train clients whose goals include weight loss, strength training, body sculpting and most physical rehabilitation situations. SuperSlowR the ideal exercise regimen. 

Opting for the slower pace of Orange County, Rod moved his mobile fitness gym south to offer personal training in Orange County. His training philosophy is to progressively build and constantly change your training workouts, thus avoiding injury and plateau. You will find Rod's workouts challenging, goal oriented and fun.
