Introduction

Biography:

I began my career as a teacher's assistant in 1982 at Risen Christ Lutheran School in Myrtle Beach. After some travel, study abroad and English teaching in Spain, I returned home and completed my Bachelor's degree and began teaching full time. I was interested in working with different grade levels and focusing specifically on Spanish instruction. I began teaching in the Elementary Foreign Language program(FLES) in North Carolina when I had the opportunity to return to my alma mater and teach high school Spanish. Subsequent moves allowed me to experience teaching in the inner city as well as in a Catholic middle school. I returned to Lutheran education in 2001 as a Spanish teacher at Walther Lutheran High School. After finishing my Master's program I accepted a call to my home church to serve as principal. I am excited by this new call to Rockford Lutheran and the opportunity to develop a successful and dynamic language program from Kindergarten through High School as well as opening new opportunities for our students in online education.

For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
