New Employee Orientation 2017-2018

Welcome back! I hope you had a relaxing and refreshing summer.
Below you will find links to documents associated with our New Employee Orientation on Thursday August 17th.

Northeast Delta Dental Student Certification

Northeast Delta Dental Student Certification

Don’t forget – Northeast Delta Dental (NEDD) is conducting dental student certification on behalf of VEHI. NEDD will mail student certification letters on August 1. Subscribers will have until August 31to respond. If no response is received, the dependent will be removed from the plan and will not be eligible for coverage until the next open enrollment period.

Remember that unlike health, dental coverage is not automatic to age 26. Dependents are covered only to age 19, but can be covered up to age 25 as long as they remain a full time student. Some districts have made a special election which allows dependents to stay on the plan to age 26 regardless of their student status. If your district has made this election, no certification letters will be sent.

Dental Plan Changes for Fillings Effective 7/1/17

Dental Plan Changes for Fillings Effective 7/1/17

In the past, Basic Restorative Coverage included Amalgam (silver) fillings and Composite (white) fillings on anterior teeth only; coverage for posterior teeth was limited to Amalgam (silver) fillings. Effective July 1, 2017, VEHI is adding coverage for Composite (white) fillings as an option for posterior teeth as well

Just a reminder – all members are eligible for assessment in the Health through Oral Wellness (HOW) program. A healthy mouth is part of a healthy life, and Northeast Delta Dental’s innovative Health through Oral Wellness program [HOW] works with your dental benefits to help you achieve and maintain better oral wellness. HOW is all about YOU because it’s based on your specific oral health risk and needs. Best of all, it’s secure and confidential. For more information on the program, click here.
