Animation Sites for Teachers

Here are some new “easy-to-use” animation,comic strip, and video creation suggestions for classroom use!

Animated Movies:


This is the free educational version of “”.  teachers can sign up for 100 free student accounts. students, with the free version, can create animations of up to 2 minutes with music, voice-overs, etc.

You must register in order to create your own movie and save it. This site was recommended after Xrtranormal dissolved.


Good one for foreign language teachers, this one allows students to create their comic strips in another language. also has lesson plans and writing prompt downloads for free. (are some ads on the page-yuck)


A British site that allows students to create their own graphic novels. Interface seems a bit detailed , but drag-and-drop options maybe make it easier. Lots of superhero clip art. might want to experiment with this one a bit before using it in classroom.

Video Production:

Great collaborative tool for creating, editing, storyboarding videos, etc. Sign in through Google.

Presentation/Project Tools:

Gives teachers the ability to create their own Jeopardy templates from scratch and adapt them to their specific curriculum. Free!
