How will Neshobe's second graders make their mark on the world?

posted Sep 28, 2017, 11:36 AM by Hannah Fjeld

Inspired by the book The Dot by Peter H. Reynolds, second graders decided how they would create their personal mark on the world. We filmed short clips in front of the green screen and photographed their drawings, and then Ms. Fjeld put the videos and drawings together to create the videos you can see below! Enjoy!

New Green Screen Wall at the Library!

posted Jul 18, 2017, 7:36 AM by Hannah Fjeld

We love making video projects in the library, and this summer we got a cool new tool! Ms. Fjeld and the library lion conspired to create a green screen wall. Filming video in front of the wall allows you to replace the green background with another image or video. Here are some photos of our new wall.

And check out this video of Ms. Fjeld's son casually walking by a volcano.

Animal Opinions in Mrs. Greeno's First Grade

posted Mar 28, 2016, 5:54 AM by Hannah Fjeld

First graders in Mrs. Greeno's class have been working on a research project during class and library time. They found information about an animal using the PebbleGo database, and used that information to support their opinion that it is their favorite animal. After creating their opinions and some awesome illustrations to go along with them, they used the app 30hands to create and narrate a slideshow of their opinions. Check out their work below!
