Third Grade "Eye" Installations -
Students in Third Grade learned about anthropomorphism during both library and art. Anthropomorphism is giving human qualities to something that is not human and is used all the time in books, movies, and video games. The Third Graders read a DCF book called "The Day the Crayons" quit in which the author and illustrator gave crayons human thoughts, feelings, and facial expressions. In art class the Third Graders "anthropomorphized" an object or space around our school, giving it a face and something to say. Below are examples of some of their work.
