Last year ended in a whirlwind of excitement (as it always seems to in the art room). On June 16th grades 3 and 4 spent the entire day outside creating "Land Art" inspired by the artist Andy Goldsworthy. This was a big day for everyone and required a huge amount of planning, coordination, and dedication on the part of students, teachers, staff, and parents. Thanks to everyone who participated (pictures from the day are below.)

And there's more! Students in 5th grade finished their marble runs and set the art room up for an evening of fun for all. One of our inspirations for this project was "Caine's Arcade" (watch a video here: Caine's Arcade). During the celebration of student learning families, friends, and classmates were invited to come and try out the student-created games. That evening, MANY people visited over the course of a few hours. Everyone had a great time playing and being inspired by the creativity and hard work of the fifth graders! (pictures are below)

This year promises more excitement and new ideas in the art room so check the website and talk with your kids to stay updated!
