Using Access Codes with Docu-Sign

Per your DocuSign use agreement with RE/MAX Pros you wil be required to use access codes.

In using access codes you will add an additional layer of security for the signer which will add to your professionalism and decreased liability.

The biggest hurdle in using them is establishing a system for using and remembering them.

If after sending a document for signatures you happen to forget the access code you can go in to the Sent folder in your DocuSign account and check the box next to the envelope you need the access code for and then select the Correct button and it will show you the access code(s).

In reviewing this method of establishing and remembering access codes please keep it confidential.  Your clients/customers do not need to know your method for determining, they just need to know what it is.

Access codes are to be given verbally to clients.  Best to establish a practice of having them call you when they have opened the E-mail and are ready to sign.  Do not E-mail the access code and do not leave on a voice mail.

You are free to establish your own method of establishing and remembering access codes or you may use this one or an alteration of this one:

Use the address of the property and manipulate as follows:

Buyer 1 - Put a 1 in front of address for Buyer 1
Buyer 2 - Put a 1 in front of address and a 1 at end of address for Buyer 2

Seller 1 - Put a 1 in front of address for Seller 1
Seller 2 - Put a 1 in front of address and a 1 at end of address for Seller 2

You could can change this up anyway you like as once you have a method it is easy to remember.

You could use the above method for initial documents and then change number for subsequent documents.
