Founded in 1969, The American University of Rome currently enrolls approximately 321 students. It is minutes from the historical center, and located on the highest hill in Rome, the Janiculum. Students can also relax in the beautiful Villa Sciarra Park across from the campus. Students can study, but are not limited to, the following areas: Social Sciences, History, Culture, Business, Language, and Arts.

Estimated Cost of the Program
  • Tuition - students pay Robert Morris tuition.All financial aid typically transfers except for dorm grants
  • Housing - €3645 Other costs - Food, Transportation in Rome, field trips (in hotels), textbooks
    Health Insurance - $3269
  • Personal spending - depends on the individual and the amount of traveling and luxuries the student wishes to engage in. Generally ranges from $500-$3000
  • Airfare - less expensive the earlier it is purchased. Fares can range from $600-$2000.
Accommodation

Students stay in spacious, well-equipped apartments surrounding the city to experience Italian culture and daily living.

Eligibility

Students are required to have a minimum 2.5 GPA, at least 45 credits, and be in good standing at RMU (Academic Services, Financial Services, Student Affairs).
