Resources (meeting rooms, equipment etc.)

All RMIT resources such as meeting rooms, equipment etc. can now be booked in Google Apps.
Resource managers can receive notification when:

  • a booking is made
  • a change to a booking is made
  • a booking is deleted

Resource managers can refer to the Managing resources in Google Apps for further information.

How do I know the new name of a resource?

The new names, including what they were named in GroupWise, can be accessed here.

How will I book resources via Google?
 
To add an event to a resource calendar, simply include the calendar's name or calendar's email address in the "Guests" field when creating the event.

For example, if you'd like to schedule a "Team Meeting" on the "Conference Room B" calendar, follow these steps:

  1. Click on "Create Event."
  2. Enter the event information such as [ Team Meeting, Monday, June 25, 2006 at 5 pm ] on the event details page.
  3. Select Guests > Enter the guests email addresses
  4. Select Rooms > Enter the Resource name or browse through the list.
  5. Click "Save" and send the invitation.
