Riverside School is maintained by the Education Department of Hampshire County Council. It is a special school for children experiencing a complex range of needs associated with learning difficulties. Riverside also makes specialist provision for children with Autistic Spectrum Disorders (ASDs).
The school can take up to 103 children. The majority of children are aged between 4 and 11.
We aim to help children to be healthy, stay safe, enjoy and achieve, make a postive contribution and work towards an understanding of what is meant by economic well-being.
Letter from our Headteacher
Hello and welcome to our school's website.
Riverside is a happy and hardworking school. We take pride in everything that we do and enjoy celebrating all our successes. Please take time to visit the different parts of the website, including the pupils' work, our school aims and values and all our wonderful facilities.
We enjoy welcoming visitors to our school. We regularly see new parents and pupils, other head teachers and their staff, poets and authors, sports people and sometimes even animals! If you would like to know more about who we are and what we do, please do contact our school office to arrange a visit.
