About Institute Background: 

The past & present:

Rajarambapu Institute of Technology, Rajaramnagar (formerly known as College of Engineering, Sakharale) was started in 1983. Located near Islampur, 7 kms. away from Peth Naka off Pune -Bengalore highway. RIT has a green beautiful campus of 17 hectors and buildings on it measuring 49021 sq.m. RIT has emerged as a leading technological Institute in Western Maharashtra through its dedicated and disciplined approach to provide quality technical education over a period more than thirty years.

RIT Central Library

The RIT Central Library with its state-of-the-art building, hardware, software and other allied resources is fast developing into one of the finest institutional libraries in the country. Its inviting architecture provides an ambience that is relaxed but modern; and space that is large yet intimate.

RIT Central Library is total built up 46367.6 Sq.Ft and carpet 21119.22 Sq.ft. Four  storey air conditioned and Wi-Fi enabled building.

It is fully fledged, high tech learning center for the engineering and management community in the vicinity and in particular for students, faculties and staff of the Institute.

The Ground floor having area of 4134 Sq. ft. for stacking. 

The First floor has availability of circulation counter, waiting room, index search, MBA Stacking   and digital library.  There would be space for exhibition and cabins for the library staff. The Reprographics section is also housed in the Library where students can order copies of material solely for the purpose of private study

The Second floors are primarily dedicated for the stacking of reference section books. The library houses a Digital Library in its premises where students and faculty members can browse varied databases as well as Institutional Repository.  There also have cubicles for research scholar and  ultra modern reading halls on these floors which can accommodate more than 250 Scholar; each table has been provided facility for using their laptop Tab etc. 

The Third floors  are primarily dedicated for the two ultra modern reading halls and There is also have study / discussion / Meeting Conference rooms which can be booked for group work sessions

Fourth floor have cafeteria. The cafe and lounge gives a refreshing experience for students for short breaks from their intensive study.

The facility is designed to provide a gathering place for students, faculty, and staff to encourage interaction and strengthen the learning environment
