The Department of Mathematics at Birzeit University is kindly inviting you to participate in the following Seminars about Mathematics and its Applications to Engineering and Computer Sciences  (MAECS2022) on 1st of June 2022 in Meeting Hall, Math Dept., at 2:30 pm.

MAECS2022 aims mainly to promote mathematical research in Applied Mathematics. The keywords related to the subject (but not limited) are:  Linear Algebra (nilpotent rings and K-Boolean rings); Statistics  (Ordinary Least Squares and Total Least Squares); Discrete Dynamical Systems (Non autonomous systems); Chaos Theory; Geometry (isoperimetric inequalities and systoles); Graph theory (conductance); Stochastic Optimal Control Problems; Dynamic Programing; Ordinary Differential Equations; Partial Differential Equations; Stochastic Differential Equations (SDEs); Numerical Approximations; Optimization; Applications to Engineering; Applications to Mathematical Finance and Life Insurance; Networks and Applications. 

Another main aim of this seminar is to present a total least-squares based algorithm that can identify those parameters from a single input (voltage) and single output (current) non-linear system described by an implicit function and taking into consideration the uncertainties on both measured quantities.  

Undergraduate Students, Master Students and Faculty Members are welcome to attend, interact, exchange ideas and discuss the trends and prospects of future research. The speakers will also talk about engineering applications and about their lab. Thus, we encourage students and colleagues from Mechatronics Department, Computers and Electronics as well.
