Travel

There are two main routes to get to Vlora.

• You can book a flight to Tirana international airport. From there to the city of Vlora is a couple of hours drive. We will arrange to pick you up. There are daily flights to Tirana from London, Milan, Munich, Rome, Viena, Budapest, Belgrade, Athens, etc.

• You can also arrive by ferry. There are daily ferries from Brindisi in southern Italy to Vlora. The trip takes a few hours and is quite enjoyable in the summer. When you go to Brindisi you will see travel agencies around the train station or the port area where you can buy a ticket for Vlora (or Valona is what Italians call Vlora). The ferry leaves at 11:00 PM and arrives to Vlora around 6:00 AM. The

• ticket costs around $80 (both ways).

Hotels:

We have a dorm with 60-70 beds that we can get and of course many hotels are available in Vlora. We can bargain that the price of a 5 star hotel during that period to be 40-45 euros (if we reserve in blocks).

Detailed information about accomodation will be made available before the conference. Our staff will help in picking people from the airport, booking hotels, etc.

Funding:

We will the cost of hotel for all ACA-WG members and session organizers. We will also cover travel for all ACA-WG members and session organizers up to 500 Euros. We do have funds for such things. If other funds will be available we will try to cover costs for all participants.
