HG&D = Human Growth & Development
Students are able to test-out of sections within the unit with a 3.25 or better on the 4-point scale. Those who demonstrate knowledge of specific sections will be asked to remain in the classroom to
1) work on their Family Health History semester project, 2) redo or improve a current assignment/project, or 3) participate in the HG&D lesson/discussion/activity.
*Specific sections will require that all Health students participate.

Becoming sexually active involves a wide variety of responsibilities involving your physical, mental-emotional, and social health. Your life can drastically change if you make the decision to be involved in sexual activity which could result in pregnancy, STI's, change in relationships, school, etc. Take time to visit the following sites for details on a variety of birth control methods for males and females.

Birth Control Reflection - Pick 2 birth control methods that you would not use or have a partner use & 2 birth control methods that you would use or have a partner use and explain why you picked each method.
Visit CDC.gov HIV/AIDS Statistics and Surveillance and HIV/AIDS Fact Sheets and other info: Provide a HIV and AIDS definition, symptoms, prevention & 3 facts with a paragraph reaction for each fact (what did you think of the fact?, how does it make you feel?, etc.) in a google doc or on notebook paper
