The GreenHistory Concept
(Click here to go to the GreenHistory Website)
Gardens are enjoyed by many without a clear understanding of their design concept or the context that the design was accomplished within. The universal beauty found in gardens of all types are appreciated for the innate joy of just being in humane spaces. Going beyond this most common of garden experiences, GreenHistory is carrying on a discussion of the elements of culture, music, economics, social issues and the visual arts that were part of the society which produced a particular garden in the time it was created and developed.

GreenHistory is offering a one-week seminar and tour of historic gardens in England which represent the broad scope of garden design styles. During the daily visits to these gardens the entire scope of garden design can be experienced and a broad understanding of garden design history will be gained by the participants.
