Teacher Bio

I started my teaching career in Tucson, AZ in 2003 and moved to Ridgefield in 2013. I am a graduate of Western Washington University where I earned a Bachelors Degree in History. I have two beautiful daughters and my wife is a counselor at View Ridge Middle School.

For the 2023-2024 school year I will be teaching World History and Academic Success II. As a teacher I am very passionate about working with students with different backgrounds and abilities, and I love learning about how our world has evolved over time. I am also in charge of the GradPoint credit recovery program. Please feel free to contact me with any questions you might have about GradPoint.

In addition to my teaching assignment I am also the Head Baseball Coach at RHS. I have been coaching high school baseball since 1999, and became the Head Coach at RHS in 2013. Since coming to Ridgefield, our program has been to the District playoffs 9 consecutive years, won GSHL League Titles in 2016, 2021, and 2023 and a District Title in 2019. Go Spuds!!
