This year View Ridge art students will be working on implementing, recognizing and understanding the elements of art and the principles of Design. Students will encounter creative problems to solve, design challenges and new materials and processes to create with. Students will work on developing projects from sketching ideas to final product. Projects will be designed around the 7/8 grade learning standards, the elements of art and the principles of design, and past and/or current artists. Students will work on developing their creative minds, utilizing the design process, art critique, reflection and discovering their individual strengths. This class will also stress the importance of safety and proper usage of tools and materials in the art room.
