Mission Statement:
The mission of Ridgefield High School is to enable all students to become self-directed and self-reflective learners. We engage all students in opportunities to improve their academic performance, develop their interpersonal skills, and achieve an understanding of their roles and responsibilities as citizens of our democratic society. We create a climate of trust, security, and pride to encourage a lifestyle that nourishes our minds, bodies, and spirits. Attention College Admission Representatives:

College Admission counselors can now go to https://CounselorCommunity.com to schedule an appointment to visit with our high school.  

    • COLLEGE GOAL SUNDAY Norwalk Community College - Sunday, October 22 1:00 - 4:00 pm.   The College Goal Sunday program is designed to assist students with the process of applying to college and with completing financial aid forms.  Participants will receive hands on assistance in completing the FAFSA form.  Participants are encourage to register in advance at www.collegegoalsundayct.org

    • FRESHMEN IN THE COUNSELING LAB The Counseling Center has opened their classroom A134 for the 2017-2018 school year. All freshmen must report to A134 at least one time between October 10 and October 27.  Topics covered include transitioning to RHS, using Naviance, goal setting and a review of high school graduation requirements.  

      •  2017-2018 - COUNSELING LAB! Drop in help is available for all students.  Come to Room A134 during any lunch wave for help with the Common Application, Naviance, SAT information, etc. This drop in help is available to all students and no appointment is necessary.

      • FINANCIAL AID PRESENTATION Karen Guastelle will join us again on November 13, 2017 to discuss the NEW changes with FINANCIAL AID.  Karen's presentation will be made available online after the presentation. This presentation will start at 7pm and will take place in the Auditorium at East Ridge Middle School.  
        • KHAN ACADEMY and the COLLEGE BOARD Khan Academy has partnered with the College Board to offer free SAT Prep to all high school students.  Please follow the link to find Khan Academy. Good luck!
