Tips for a Successful and Fun Day...

  • Come on time.
  • Be prepared with everything you need to perform. This includes a working instrument, bow, music, sticks, oil, etc...
  • Have your music with you. Please note: you will NOT be allowed to go to your locker to find your music on the morning of the trip.
  • Bring a snack and water for the morning.
  • Be a considerate audience. Some of you will be audience members for a good portion of the morning. Be prepared (have something to do) and be conscientious of others.

At the Park...

  • Bring a backpack with a swimsuit, towel, sunscreen and a dry change of clothing.
  • Lockers are available for a fee.
  • Regular locker - $9 + $4 key deposit = $13
  • Large locker - $13 + $4 key deposit = $17
  • Pack a lunch for yourself or bring money for food. Soda and water (at the soda fountains) is free.
  • Know where your group is at all times.
  • All students will return to the buses WITH THEIR GROUP ONLY.
  • Important Note: NO student shall leave Lake Compounce without their director's knowledge. Students that need to leave early must inform their director IN WRITING no later than 24 hours before our planned departure.

Please note:

  • Behavior will be governed by the RPS Middle School Code of Conduct.
  • Electronics: while the buses are generally locked when students are not using them, RPS is not responsible for lost or stolen property.
