Growing up and living between America and London, singer, song writer and dancer, 'Rickell Brown a.k.a Rickstar; comes from
a talented family. With his mother, father, and godmother all being singers, it made natural sense for Rickstar to follow in their
footsteps. He is also related to reggae recording artists Leroy Sibles and Mr Vegas.
As a youngster, Rickstar was exposed to an array of musical genres and cultures, one being the sounds of the legendary
Detroit label, "Motown". Marvin Gaye, The Temptations, Diana Ross and The Supremes are among the list of many of the
Motown artists Rickstar seeks musical inspiration and influence from.
"I'm a big fan of new school artists like Brandy, Outkast, Ceelo Green, Adele Lenny Kravitz... And like most of them I feel a
connection to the music that people were making in the 60's, 70's and 80's" says Rickstar. If his singles "So Dope" and
songs like "Cant Nobody" and "Get Up On It" are anything to go by, we are all in for a treat.
