It's done. I finished the 56.8k run. Much slower than I thought, I was on the treadmill from 13:10 to 21:30. I couldn't have done it without the help and support of the amazing people from Frome Running Club and Frome Tri Club who literally picked me up a few times. It was amazing and humbling to receive that kind of help.

In a few days the GWAAC will have over £1100 through Justgiving. I can't thank you enough.

In August 2011 I was hit by a car while training for the Bristol Half Marathon. I was lucky enough to be rescued by the Bristol Great Western Air Ambulance Charity. Their helicopter came out of their area to help me.

They saved my life. The GWAAC and other air ambulances receive no government support. They are funded entirely by charitable donations. The cost of my rescue was £1100. I want to give the GWAAC their money back because that's how I want to thank them.

I hope you'll never need them. But if you do, you'll be glad they are there.
Please consider donating £5 to The Great Western Air Ambulance

14th May 2012. 56.8k Endurance

The start of the run has been put back to 1pm. This will enable the people who would like to buddy but can't until after work to come after all. Thanks to Owen for sorting it. Run now starts at 1pm, Monday May 14th.

On May 14th I'll will start my longest ever run. A 56.8k treadmill endurance covering the distance that the air ambulance took. I want to raise at least £1100 in sponsorship and will donate all the funds I get to the GWAAC.

27th May 2012. Bupa 10k

On the 27th May I will take part in the Bupa London 10,000 run in aid of the GWAAC
