Creating your signature block

To create an email signature
  • Open Gmail.
  • In the upper-right corner of the Mail window, click the Gear  icon and then click Settings
  • On the General page, scroll down to the Signature section and enter your signature in the box. 
  • If desired, use the options above the box to format your text and add links and images.
  • Click Save Changes at the bottom of the page.
In early January 2013 Google added a check box that now allows you to have the signature block inserted before any quoted replies which replaces the Signature Tweaks lab that did the same thing. Check the option directly below where you enter your signature block to enable.
