Setting up a password for your Google account

You access your Smoogle account with your Smith email address and a Google password that you set. This is true no matter how you are accessing your account.

ALUMNI: If you are an Alumni and need your Smoogle password reset please see here for instructions.

Go to and log in with your Directory ID and password.

Once you've logged in, you can then set your new Google password:

If you set a password that does not meet the complexity requirements listed on the password reset page, the password will not be accepted and you will need to choose a new password.

If you have successfully logged into the reset page, but an error message is displayed, you can contact the Smith IT Service Desk with the details of the error message so they can assist you.
