    When there is a change of dismissal for your child, please send a quick note in your child's blue folder & email/call main office. Even if there is a substitute in KB, he/she will know how to send your child home!

    Lang Arts- letters Aa-Ss (letter recognition, handwriting)
        sight words - "I, am, the, little"  (say, spell, write)
        Phonics- initial sounds, syllables, character, setting, sequence
        Genre- realistic fiction
    Math- identify and make patterns, solve problems by finding a pattern. Math vocab words "color pattern, shape pattern, size pattern, growing pattern, pattern rule". 
    Religion- Noah's Ark

         Practice the Hail Mary-
                "Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. 
                Blessed art thou among women & blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
                Holy Mary, mother of God, pray for us sinners
                now & at the hour of our death. Amen"
         Prayer before snacks/lunch-
                "Bless us o Lord & these thy gifts which we are about to receive from thy bounty, through 
                 Christ our Lord. Amen"

         at the end of our day we pray the Angel of God prayer-
                "Angel of God, my guardian dear, to whom God's love entrusts me here. Ever this day be at
                 my side, to light & guard, to rule & guide. Amen"

    Social Studies/Science- Johnny Appleseed week! Lots of fun activities and making applesauce in class. Make sure to hand in your signed permission slip so you can try it!

Extending Hands Community Service Project
        RBS collects non-perishable food items each month & donates it to area food pantries. KB will be collecting canned peaches for the month of September. Thank you for your anticipated generosity. 

 Homework  week of 9-24

        Mon- in journal, write Ll, Mm, Nn 5x each,  bring in 1 apple, any color tomorrow!
        Tues- Math PB pages 29-30
        Wed- in journal, write Oo, Pp, Qq 5x each 
        Thurs- Math PB pages 31-32, read decodable reader (keep this home for continued practice) 
        Fri- no HW  


    RBS is a NUT FREE school! Please double check all ingredient labels...even if it's processed in a facility that may have had peanuts. We'd rather be safe than sorry!

        Boys do not need to wear a tie or a belt (a bathroom calamity in the making!)

        Girls should wear bike shorts under their jumpers ( for when we sit criss-cross applesauce or hang upside down on playground equipment! )

        All students should wear tie or velcro shoes, no slip-ons.

        Maker Space Supplies Needed!- beads, binder clips, clay, craft sticks, cotton swabs, empty plastic containers, glue, index cards, paper towel rolls, paper cups, paper plates/bowls, pipe cleaners, pom poms/googly eyes, straws, string/yarn, tape/all kinds, tin foil, ziplock bags, batteries (9v,aa,aaa,C,D), lightbulbs/small, plastic sewing needles, small screwdrivers
