Joel Makower is a leading author and voice on the greening of mainstream business. He is executive editor GreenBiz.com and other websites, events and business information services produced by GreenBiz Group Inc., of which he is co-founder and chairman. He also hosts GreenBiz.com’s annual State of Green Business Forums, the annual GreenBiz Innovation Forum, and other events. Joel is author of more than a dozen books, including his latest, Strategies for the Green Economy (2008), along with GreenBiz.com’s annual “State of Green Business” report. The Associated Press has called him "The guru of green business practices."
David is the CEO of the Regenerative Network. He is also the founder of the U.S. Green Building Council and World Green Building Council, the largest green building organizations in the world with green building councils in 90 countries. He crafted the vision and model for the LEED® green building rating system–now adopted in 140 countries worldwide. David is also the CEO of Regenerative Ventures, a GreenbuildTech™ incubator, and one of the foremost catalysts in the global green building movement. He has a degree in Engineering and Resource Management from Stanford, and serves on the Stanford Professional in Real Estate Board of Governors and is a founding member of its Real Estate Council. David has received numerous leadership awards. In 2011, David received the inaugural WorldGBC Green Building Entrepreneurship Award. Gottfried has also written two influential books.
