Welcome to Webpage of Mr. Stevens

As part of Region 4's Strategic Plan and Mission, the EES Art Program offers learning opportunities and tasks that allow students to build critical and creative problem solving skills.

By its very nature, the act of creating artwork nurtures the skills, attitudes, and mindsets of critical and creative thinkers.  Whenever students are creating a piece of art, be it painting, pottery, sculpture or beyond, they are planning, executing, revising, and assessing their own success.  Art allows students to take appropriate chances, weigh out risks, work through difficulties, and celebrate personal growth.  Through a carefully constructed art curriculum, students develop and strengthen their critical and creative problem solving skills while also learning about art, artists, materials, and techniques.

2017 Essex Elementary School ART SHOW

The student artists of Essex Elementary School would like to thank all of our family and friends who joined us on April 27th, 2017, for our first ever Evening of the Arts.  The evening included art displays from all of our students from kindergarten to sixth grade, and we were both proud and delighted to share with you everything we have worked so hard on.
