Welcome to Mr. Spreier's Classroom!
I am lucky enough to have been born and raised in Oregon. I was born in Klamath Falls and my family moved to Bend shortly after that. After high school I went to the University of Oregon, GO DUCKS!!!, where I was in the Oregon Marching Band and Oregon Basketball Band for three years. I graduated with my Bachelor's degrees in 2008 and moved to Portland for a few years where I managed a small, local cutlery store. In 2011 life took me back to Central Oregon, where I worked in retail before deciding to go after my life-long goal of being a teacher. I received my Masters in Teaching from Oregon State University - Cascades campus. I interned in 3rd and 5th grades at Jewell Elementary in Bend before I was lucky enough to be hired on as a 4th grade teacher at McCall in 2014. I feel truly blessed that I am able to have a career doing a job I absolutely adore!
I share my nice little house in Bend with my wife and our multitude of animals; a dog, two cats, a bearded dragon, and several fish. When I'm not teaching I'm usually hanging out with my boys, visiting the rest of my family in Central Oregon, or pursuing my other passion - reconstructing 15th century Italian martial arts, so if your student says something about Mr. Spreier being a swordfighter, I really am!
One of the best things about teaching is getting to know the students and their families. I look forward to getting to know all of you and I know that this will be an epic year!
