Basic Spreadsheet

Your spreadsheet is the building block of your hometown news story. It should be formatted as either an Excel (.xls) or Comma Separated Values (.csv) document. Most spreadsheets look like this:


You can have as much information as you need in your spreadsheet, but you'll always need the following columns: First Names, Last Names, Hometowns, Zip Codes (in a column labeled "postal_code"), and your students' email addresses.

Note: If you want to include other details, like the student's major, details about their parents or the high school they graduated from, make sure that information is in your spreadsheet before uploading it.
