Learning Assistance Teachers work collaboratively, as part of the Learning Support Team, to build the capacity of the school and its teachers for creating and sustaining inclusive educational environments that meet the diverse learning needs of all students. 

Melinda Hanson is the LAT (Learning Assistance Teacher) at Oriole Park for the 2017-2018 school year. Part of her role is to deliver small group reading intervention with the Leveled Literacy Intervention (LLI) program. The LAT also coordinates specialized services such as Speech and Language Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Assistive Technology, and more.
