What is the Technicool Program?
Technicool is a technology safety program designed for Vermont children and teens grades 4-8, their teachers, parents and caregivers. This program encourages safe online behavior by addressing the risks inherent to these powerful new technologies and provides participants with resources to protect themselves.
Technicool’s parent and educator participants learn about the newest technology related activities and how kids and teens are using them. Student participants gain a better understanding of who is seeing their online activity and receive practices for getting the most from technology.
Technicool Programs take place in communities throughout the state and are offered free of charge. Programs for students usually take place during the school day or in an after school setting. Programs or parents and educators usually take place in the evenings. To find out about the Technicool Programs offered in your area, or to schedule one of your own, call 1-800-CHILDREN (1-800-244-5373).
