Check out these highlights from earlier this year:
  • Fabulous playing and marching by the band in the Loyalty Day Parade!
  • K-2 put on a very fun performance for our Spring Concert at the Town Hall this May!
  • Congrats to our West Rutland student for being selected to participate in this year's Vermont All State Music Festival!
  • Congrats to ALL 6 middle school band students who auditioned for districts, were accepted, and participated in the festival!
  • Thank you for supporting the music department in our two Coffeehouse Concerts this year!
  • K-2 students had a blast dancing with family and friends at Night of Shining Stars!
Practicing Tips:
  • ENCOURAGE your student to practice and stick with it!
  • Invite students to practice together while hanging out.  Duets and trios can be found in students lesson books, or have your student ask Ms. Ott for additional resources.
  • Explore online resources such as chromatik.com to pique student interest and connect with the music students are already listening to.
Reminder: ALL elementary band students must complete a Lesson Log documenting progress on assignments and time spent practice
