Welcome to Rutland Town School's Math Intervention Page!

I am the Math Interventionist for K-5.  My job is to provide Tier 2 instruction in the area of mathematics.  This means  I provide targeted intervention to students in addition to their regular math instruction. I pull small groups of students from first through fifth grade daily for 3o minutes each to participate in interventionThese groups are determined based on data we collect through assessments and collaboration with teachers.  I also pull small groups of Kindergarteners daily to work on gaps identified in the data from the Primary Number and Operations Assessment(PNOA) that we administer to students in K-2.

Another important part of my job is to stay current regarding best practices in the teaching of mathematics. I then share my learnings with my colleagues and in the teaching of my students.

Please  check out the link called Math Games for Kids.  The site it leads you to is full of great games kids can play online that support a conceptual understanding of mathematics.
