Youth Apprenticeship Opportunities - Our Youth Apprenticeship (YA) coordinator visited with sophomores this week to share exciting details about joining the program for their junior year! This is a fantastic opportunity for students to gain hands-on professional experience, earn elective credits, and get a head start on their careers while still in high school. If your sophomore or junior student is interested in participating in the program for next year, please take note of the following timeline:
Now – April 1st: Students must Apply Online Here.
Note: Any requests to join the program after the April 1st deadline cannot be honored.
Starting in February, Mrs. Kwakkel will begin meeting with potential YA students to discuss career interests and provide coaching and resources to help them secure a job placement.
Work Hours: Students must complete 450 hours of work between July 1st and June 30th.
Related Instruction: Students are required to take classes that directly correspond with their chosen career pathway.
We are here to help you navigate the process! If you have questions, please reach out to:
Dawn Barber, School Counselor: barbdaw@rbsd.k12.wi.us
Beth Kwakkel, YA Coordinator: bkwakkel@cesa6.org
Parking Permit Pass - If you are parking in the school lot, a pass must be purchased in the high school office. If you get your license during the school year, please see Penny in the office for the current cost for the permit.
Students Participating In After School Activities: If you have a medication prescribed to you for a medical emergency (ex: epi pen, inhaler) please make sure you have your own medication available to use if needed.
