About me....

I grew up on a dairy farm in Springview, Nebraska and graduated from Keya Paha County High School in 1989.  I graduated from Chadron State College in 1993 with a BS in Education, and I have been teaching high school English ever since.  I have been fortunate to work in several wonderful school districts in both Nebraska and South Dakota.  I began my career in the Ainsworth Community Schools; I then moved to South Dakota and worked in the Scotland Public Schools, Todd County Middle School and the Winner School District.  This will be my thirteenth year in Ravenna and my 30th year of teaching; I still love to come to school each day, and I am proud to say I am a teacher.

My husband is Ritch; he is a store director for Super Saver in Grand Island.  We adopted our daughter Rowan from China in 2004, and she was 9 months old when we brought her home.  Rowan is our absolute joy; she is 20 and will be a sophomore this fall at UNL.  Rowan loves to dance, read, do crafts and spend time with our extended family.
