What is Physical Science all about? Well, here's the short version:

Part I: Chemistry, the study of matter!

  • The Scientific Method
  • Measurement: length, mass, volume, density
  • Physical and Chemical properties and changes
  • Acids and Bases
  • The Periodic Table: I love the Periodic Table and hopefully, my love will spread!

Part II: Physics, the study of energy!

  • Work, force and motion
  • Simple Machines
  • Light, Heat, Sound
  • Electricity, Magnets and Electromagnets

The Nikon Small World Gallery gives you a glimpse into a remarkable world that most have never seen.  It is a window into a universe that can only be seen through the lens of a microscope.  For the past 36 years, Nikon has sponsored the International Small World Competition, the world's foremost forum for reconigizing excellence in photography with the optical microscope.  Listed below are links to image galleries featuring photomicrographs from the winners of previous contests.
