Mentoring and Training

Graduate Students

I am looking for motivated graduate students with interests in conservation and evolutionary oriented ecological research. My mentoring style is one of guided independence, and I encourage students to think broadly about directions of research that will expand both theoretical and applied understanding.

Inquiries regarding positions should include a complete C.V., including undergraduate GPA and GRE scores, and a brief but well developed description of research directions of interest. Students with developed research projects and/or funding are particularly encouraged to contact me.

Those interested in studying African elephants should be forewarned that securing funding is the required!

My interests cover a wide range of ecological, evolutionary and applied directions and I am open to working on a variety of systems. Please email me to discuss possible research directions. I do not have funding for postdocs, but open to grant development to fund projects here at CSU.
