Connor's second and third grade students came together to learn about the history of the Tappan Zee Bridge, why a new bridge is necessary and the process that the engineers are going through as they rebuild the Tappan Zee.  This project has 5,000 people working on the new bridge; those people are with various companies.  Students learned about the materials used to reconstruct the bridge and the various tools and equipment that is also necessary.  This assembly reinforced a story Pop's Bridge our third graders read and the second grade Science Unit -To Get to the Other Side currently underway.
