Madrigal Singers History
The Madrigal Singers is a vocal ensemble performing numerous a cappella performances for community and civic organizations locally and globally. They sing a variety of styles from Renaissance to Jazz and always strive for a high caliber of musicianship in every performance. Mr. Matthew Gaulin is the director of the group.
This sub-group of the Concert Choir is auditioned each spring for the upcoming school year. The Madrigals are usually available for presentations during late November, December, late April, May and June. For more information, contact the director at (518) 824-4221.
The following QHS students have earned a position in the Madrigal Singers for the 2017-2018 school year:
Rehearsals take place Monday evenings from 6:00 to 7:30 pm and up to three mornings a week at 7:00 am at the director's discretion.
Currently we have 7:00 am rehearsals on A & C days (Choir days).
