Kellie O’Brien

West Brookfield Elementary School Principal

Mrs. Kellie O’Brien began her career in Newport News, VIrginia in 1995 as a first grade teacher.  In 2000, she and her husband relocated back to Massachusetts where she began working as a first grade teacher in the Wachusett Regional School District.  In 2011, she accepted her first administrators position as Assistant Principal. With her professional goal of becoming a Principal, she accepted the principal position at West Brookfield Elementary School this past August.  

Mrs. O’Brien has received a BS in Education from Worcester State University, completed most of her Masters course work at The College of William and Mary, Williamsburg, VA, and an earned Master's Degree in Education with a concentration in Reading from Worcester State University.  After several years of teaching, she pursued her Administrator’s Licensure through MESPA (Massachusetts Elementary & Secondary Principals Association) which was obtained in 2012.

Mrs. O’Brien’s educational experiences have afforded her the opportunity to collaborate with diverse groups of people to meet the common goal of increasing student achievement and well being.  Her educational philosophy is based on her uncompromising belief that all students can learn, given a positive learning environment, strong and knowledgeable leadership, a committed and focused educational team, and encouraging community, and a supportive family.  All of which, the Quaboag Regional School District possess.
