Senior English Literature and Media List
Some of the content offered in this course is classified as sensitive. You will be given the opportunity to review the topics included, sign for consent, and if desired an alternative text will be assigned to your student.
The following list is a cumulation of texts students may encounter in the course beyond our district-adopted textbook, StudySync. It is composed of district-approved novels and plays as well as essays and short fiction that enhance students’ ability to engage texts and construct their own, although the texts in this section do not currently hold a position in our district-adopted and/or approved curriculum. I have placed them in the list to improve cultural diversity, expand students’ understanding of the writing craft, and increase the course’s range of literary merit. Please review this list and type or sign your name below to indicate your approval of your student’s engagement with them. If you have concerns about any of these titles, please indicate them beneath your name and contact me at mmonk@pvschools.net.
