Honors with Mrs. Forkum

The principle goal of education in the school should be creating men and women who are capable of doing new things, not simply repeating what other generations have done; men and women who are creative, inventive, and discoverers."

Dear Students and Parents,

I am very excited to start this school year as your honors teacher. Quail Run has been my home school for 18 years. During that time I worked as an ELL teacher, reading specialist, and a 3rd grade cluster teacher.

I was born and raised in Montenegro and Serbia. I graduated from the University of Belgrade with a degree in linguistics and obtained my Masters in Elementary Education from NAU. I also completed English as a second language, Early Childhood, Reading, and Gifted Endorsements.

My husband Mark and I have two sons, Nikolas and Alex. As a family we love to travel, hike, watch movies, and spend time with family and friends.

I truly enjoy teaching, and as an educator, I want my students to be enthusiastic, knowledgeable, curious about the world around them, and to develop a life long love for learning.

Please always feel free to contact me with any questions, suggestions, and ideas. I am looking forward to a great year!

Sincerely,

Mrs. Forkum
