PURDY AMERICORPS PROGRAM, SERVING STUDENTS SINCE 1999

The Purdy AmeriCorps Reading Coach Program has been serving the students of Purdy Elementary since 1999. These dedicated members provide literacy-based, one-on-one and group tutoring during the school day.

Federal grant guidelines state that a person is only allowed to serve a total of four (4) years, which means we are always looking for great people to give of themselves and help our children. If you would like more information about AmeriCorps and how you can be a part of the team, please contact Renae Neill at (417)442-3217, extension 5. An informational meeting is held each April to begin the recruitment process for the following school year.
