Greyhounds are friendly, affectionate dogs who thrive on attention and human companionship.  Raised with their littermates (where they competed for affection) they love becoming the center of attention and make marvelous household pets.  Retired racers are usually 2-5 years old and adapt easily into the home environment.  Greyhounds are:

  • Eager to please
  • Quiet
  • Clean (minimal shedding)
  • Gentle and non-aggressive
  • Good natured with children and other pets
  • Grateful for a new home
  • Highly intelligent
  • Affectionate and friendly by nature
  • The perfect companion !!!

The Pups Without Partners program is always looking for good prospective homes for retired greyhound racers.  For more information or an adoption application.

Adopting a Friend

A greyhound is know as a "45 mph couch potato" because of how well they adapt to home life.  The best kept secret of the dog world is AKC breeders don't want you to know about retired racing greyhound adoption.  Greyhound adoption from our organization requires an adoption fee, a home visit and references.

Volunteering and Donations

We are always open for donations to our medical fund and for volunteers.
